Job Overview
​
We are seeking an experienced Director of IT to lead our datacenter operations team In Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our IT infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime, optimal performance, and adherence to industry best practices and compliance standards. This regional leadership role will drive technological innovation while maintaining the highest levels of security, service quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

- Develop and implement the strategic IT roadmap for datacenter operations, aligned with business objectives
- Lead technological innovation initiatives to enhance service offerings and internal efficiencies
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define and achieve organizational goals
- Manage capital and operational budgets for IT infrastructure and operations

Datacenter Operations Management

- Ensure 24/7/365 availability of mission-critical facility and enterprise systems with 99.999% uptime
- Oversee datacenter data and networking, data integrity and physical security systems including access control
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Direct capacity planning initiatives to meet current and future client demands
- Optimize resource utilization and operational costs across all facilities

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, including systems administrators, network administrators, and support staff across multiple sites
- Establish clear performance metrics and accountability frameworks
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement / training and technical excellence
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, client services, and facilities management

Technology & Security

- Maintain robust cybersecurity protocols and compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Oversee implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance reliability and performance
- Direct network architecture design and implementation to ensure scalability, performance and resilience
- Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships

Client Success
- Drive and monitor SLA compliance to ensure client satisfaction and service reliability.
- Develop technical solutions to meet complex client requirements as required such as cloud adoption and automation
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams on client retention and expansion opportunities
- Provide technical expertise during client consultations and issue resolution

Qualifications & Skills
Required Experience & Education
​

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
-
10+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 3 years in datacenter operations
-
5+ years in IT leadership positions managing teams of 10+ professionals
-
Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid IT solutions
-
Strong understanding of network architecture, security frameworks, and infrastructure management
-
Previous experience of working in Saudi or other GCC countries preferred
-
Experience with developing, maintaining, documenting and updating ISO 27001:2022

Technical Knowledge
​

Working knowledge of datacenter infrastructure components (power systems, cooling, cabling, racks)

Proficiency with network technologies (routing, switching, VLAN, DNS, Firewalls, VPN)

Working knowledge of datacenter building management systems

Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure E5 and Google Enterprise platforms
-
Understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and major providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
-
Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL)

Understanding of compliance frameworks relevant to datacenters

Working Conditions

Primary location at our headquarters with regular visits to datacenter facilities

On-call availability for critical incidents and emergency situations
